Description
This strain comes from an Amnesia Haze which has a touch of Skunk to it for stability and a little extra sweetness. This strain is really a champion amongst plants and offers amazing bud production, density and resin production whilst remaining relatively easy to cultivate. The skunk scent is complemented by the strong hazelnut scent of the original Amnesia.
The strain has an uplifting and social effect which is ideal for creativity, DIY, reading, cooking and so on. This makes the strain an ideal day time painkiller as it allows for the reduction of pain without causing the patient to lose lucidity. This strain grows wonderfully indoors and out, outdoors it can reach rather astonishing sizes. It has a relatively short flowering time and is a plant that really rewards its grower. This strain is also an award winner, it won 3rd place at Expogrow Cannabis Cup for Best Sativa in 2012.
The strain is also feminised which means it will only grow into female plants. These seeds have been steadily increasing in popularity over the years. They have become especially popular amongst growers who often have no need for the male plants. If a grower does not plan on creating a new crop of their own the males are simply a waste of time, space and money. Usually the males would need to be removed at the start of the flowering process in order to avoid harming the female plants. Since regular crops would be around 50/50 male and female around half of the plants would need to be removed, and so half of the money spent on them is wasted.
Feminised seeds are not only ideal for growers however, they can also be used by experienced breeders. This method of breeding is more difficult than using regular seeds but the results can be more rewards. Female plants can, if correctly stressed, produce a feminised pollen. This pollen can then be used to fertilise another female and the resulting seeds will be feminised. Many strains which have been bred in this way have shown marked improvement in their uniformity and their quality.
Indoors this strain has a flowering period of around 8 – 9 weeks and a yield of 350 – 450 g/m2. Outdoors it should be harvested in early October and has a yield of 350 – 450 g/plant.
