Candida (CD – 1) Strain

Candida (CD-1) was named after the late mother of Medical Marijuana Genetics’ creator, and the name means ‘bright light’ in Latin.

The laboratory test findings reveal CBD levels ranging from 20.6 percent to 10.9 percent CBD, with THC levels increasing with greater CBD levels but never exceeding 1% THC. 

With this CBD-to-THC ratio, the anti-psychotic properties of the higher quantities of CBD overwhelm the comparatively modest amounts of THC, effectively cancelling out the “high,” and ensuring a non-psychoactive cannabis product.

Candida can be grown both inside and outside. It is suited for all settings and growing media, and it has a distinct lemon flavour and perfume that enhances its therapeutic benefits. CD-1 will thrive in any environment.

It stands out for its fast, strong growth in the early stages.

Candida produces two distinct phenotypes: Sativa and Indica. According to preliminary research, the Sativa phenotype will produce lower, whispier yields that are commonly associated with Sativa strains. 

So far, we’ve discovered that the Sativa pheno yields higher CBD levels.

In comparison, the Indica pheno will generate larger, denser harvests with lower CBD levels but still high CBD content. 

It is recommended that Sativa phenos receive special attention because they might be more difficult to maintain and have greater intervals between internodes, making the plants more sensitive.

In general, the Sativa pheno is better suited to extractions than smoking and vaping, however the Indica pheno is appropriate for all.
