Description
Early Maroc comes from a Moroccan Landrace strain which is often used as a parent plant. This strain is extremely popular for its short flowering time, hence the name Early Maroc. When this plant reaches its green stage it releases a sweet scent which is oddly reminiscent of strawberry bubble gum. Throughout the growing process this scent will change and develop. It will gain notes of spice and old wood which is really a pleasure to smell.
The effect of the strain is one of euphoria and relaxation, the relaxation of mind and body becomes more advanced after time. This makes it an ideal pain killing strain as well as being perfect for those who are suffering from stress, depression and anxiety. This strain is recommended for outdoor growth because it need plenty of light during its growth to avoid genetic anomalies. It is especially perfect for balconies and terraces and is recommended for 25 L pots, although larger pots will allow the plant to gain its full potential.
Early Maroc is also a feminised strain which means its seeds will only grow into female plants. This has been a popular method of seed production for some time now as, for growers, it makes the plants much more user friendly. Growers, who do not plan on breeding their own crops, have no need for the male plants. Usually they will have to remove the male plants at the start of the flowering process in case they harm the females.
This means that in a regular crop around half of the seeds are wasted, and so is around half of the money spent on them. Breeders can also use feminised seeds if they are experienced enough. It is possible, but difficult, to convince a female to produce a feminised pollen. This pollen is then used to fertilise another female plant and create feminised seeds. These seeds are often of a higher quality and uniformity. In fact 80% of strains which have been bred in this manner have shown improvement in both areas.
Again this strain should be grown outdoors as it can reach heights of around 125 – 175 cm. It should be harvested in August and gives a yield of around 350 – 450 g/plant.
