Origin and Genetics:

The Pancakes cut of London Pound Mints is a clone-only cultivar known for its exceptional aroma that blends sweet tarts with a rich gasoline scent. Grounded Genetics used this strain and crossed it with their Jealousy stud, which is a combination of Gelato 41 and Sherb bx1. The goal of this cross was to improve the bag appeal of Pancakes while retaining its terpene profile. The resulting progeny features dense, chunky buds with a heavy resin coating and many swollen calyxes.

Taste and Effect:

The terpene profile of the London Pound Mints x Jealousy progeny is super loud and complex, with the depth of flavor coming from the Sherb lineage in the parents. Many phenotypes perfectly translate the terps from the nose to the flavor. After extensive smoking tests, Grounded Genetics found that the depth of flavonoid profile is extremely resistant to heat. The resulting progeny is also characterized by decreased leaf-to-flower ratios, making it less complicated and time-consuming to manicure.

Growing the Strain:

The London Pound Mints x Jealousy progeny takes about 60-65 days to finish and produces medium to high yields. Grounded Genetics has found it relatively easy to select phenotypes that translate the flavor down to the roach. Moreover, the Jealousy stud is responsible for some deep and appealing colorations in both flower and on the fan leaves. This strain’s ease of cultivation is also an improvement from the clone-only Pancakes, which was known to be a complicated and time-consuming plant to manicure.
