Tropimango Strain

Tropimango is a popular strain from Philosopher Seeds, it is a back crossing of the already famous Somango strain. Tropimango grows large and luscious dark leaves and is quite easy to grow whilst giving a great result. The strain grows compact and solid buds which produce impressive amounts of resin. So much resin in fact that the leaves appear to be coated in a layer of glittering white.

The one thing which is terrible for this plant is excess heat, if its exceeds 30 degrees Celsius its buds will be much lower in density. Due to the usual high density of the buds one must be wary of too much humidity or rain as it can go mouldy. Tropimango has the scent of tropical fruit with a powerful and lasting after taste and smell. Since it is a heavy Indica strain is has a relaxing effect which does not detract from the users motivation. This makes it an excellent day time medication as does its high THC and CBD level.

This strain is also feminised which means that it will only grow into female plants. This method of breeding was first perfected by Dutch Passion and since then it has increased in popularity. This is because feminised seeds make the growing process far easier for growers everywhere, especially if they do not plan on breeding their own crops. For these growers male plants are not only useless but can harm the female plants. This means they need to be removed at the start of the flowering period. In a regular crop around half of the seeds would grow into male plants and so half of the seeds would be wasted.

Therefore so would half of the money that the grower spent on the seeds. Breeders can also use feminised seeds but only if they are experienced enough. The method by which female plants breed with other females is significantly more complicated than regular breeding. Female plants need to be convinced to produce a feminised pollen which is then used to fertilise another female plant. The resulting seeds will be feminised.

This strain can be grown indoors or outdoors. Indoors it has a growing time of 8 – 9 weeks and a yield of 400 – 450 g/m2. Outdoors it should be harvested in October and has a yield of 400 – 600 g/plant.
