Pre 98 Episode 1 F4 Cannabis Seeds by Night Owl Seeds

Introducing the first iteration of Night Owl’s Bubba Kush auto work, Pre 98 Episode 1!

This project started back in 2016. To create this strain breeders used special Pre 98 Bubba Kush (Clone Only) and enjoyable Auto Skywalker

Fun fact, the same Auto Skywalker male was used to create the Wizard’s Apprentice (Cheech Wizard from Bodhi Seeds x Auto Skywalker) and Pre 98 Episode 1.

The F1 were consistently Bubba-dominant plants – short and stocky with fan leaves and super compact nugs layered with silverish resin that put out those well-known smells that the Pre 98 is known for, with additional Skywalker earthy OG notes.

Since they were all so similar in appearance and the aromas were on point, the multiple females were pollinated and selected for the next generation after a thorough smoke test.

The flower with the most sedative effects was selected and used to move on with the F2 generation.

At the F2 stage things really started to open up in terms of genetic variation (see “Outlier Z F4”). Most of the auto-flowering plants were a perfect blend of Bubba and Skywalker – earthy, herbal, dark scents with the same dinner plate fan leaves and shorter nature.

The resin production wasn’t the same as some of Night Owls’ other strains, but the flowers themselves were absolutely caked!

To move forward with the F3 generation, the two best Bubba dominant plants were selected.

The smoke test was a final deciding factor. They were both great, but one (the winner) was instantly more relaxing and carried an additional unique minty flavor.

The F3 became a true pleasure to grow and experience. Easy plants that could take a solid feeding from early on. After their hefty veg stage, transitioning into flower they were already in need of more nutrients.

The F3 flowers contain herbal, rubber, and gassy notes and still carried something mysteriously minty along with them, but the coffee flavor became much less prevalent. In terms of structure, resin production, density, and effects, they checked all the boxes.

However, without the overt and instantly recognizable coffee scents of the clone only,

using ???Bubba??? in the name of this cross didn’t feel quite right, so with a new plan of action the name ???Pre 98 Episode 1??? was decided on.

The Pre 98 Episode 1 offers honestly fantastic plants in every aspect, but the Bubba work is not over yet. Striving for perfection is a key. You can expect a Pre 98 Episode 2 shortly!
